Shropshire based artist, illustrator and author Matt Sewell is an avid ornithologist, and author of the bestselling books Our Garden Birds, Owls, A Charm Of Goldfinch and the recently released Atlas Of Amazing Birds, and children's books, Dinosaurs and Forgotten Beasts. Many of his books have been translated and published around the world. He has illustrated for The Guardian, The National Trust, The V&A, a host of high profile brands and painted walls for Greenpeace, BBC's Springwatch, Countryfile, and the RSPB. His artwork has been exhibited in London, New York, Tokyo and Paris. Shrewsbury Museum & Art Gallery are delighted to be working in collaboration with Matt, who was inspired by the Condover Mammoth skeletons and the stuffed Auk in the museum collection to create a charming selection of children's illustrations.
